Copper ore in matrix		Haile Mine, 3 1/2 miles northeast of Kershaw,  Lancaster County, South Carolina Sizes available: scab, $ 45 cab, $ 65 museum, $ 100 Glistening copper on surface of native white and gray schist host rock. On most specimens, the copper is seen as multiple layers of thin sheets of copper throughout the host rock
Gold ore in matrix Massive sulfide deposits containing pyrite/gold which are embedded in white to cream colored shists		Haile Mine, 3 ½ miles northeast of Kershaw, Lancaster County, South Carolina USA Sizes available: min, $ 25 - $ 400 cab $ 35 - $ 150 Price determined by the number of  sulphides and/or metallic inclusions on the surface of the host rock; not  assayed; mine is in the process of reopening
