Annual Reports of the Copper Range Consolidated Company including also reports of the Baltic Mining Company, Copper Range Company, Champion Copper Company, and Copper Range Railroad Company. This is a complete set. These are not just financial reports, but are directors reports which give details about development and output of the mines, labor conditions and strikes for each year when relevant. Also included in most of the annual reports there are ore managers reports for each mine giving specific details of shaft sinking, drifting, hoisting, ore stamping, etc. The reports were 6 x 8 1/2 “ until 1955 when the format switched to 8 1/2 x 11" (except for one year, 1957, when the report was sized at 5 1/2 x 8”). This complete set is priced at $ 500 Reports included (all are original copies except those marked (*) which are photocopies, Annual Report was renumbered to15 to match the year, this began in 1915). Annual Reports of the Copper Range Railroad Company These small reports are largely financial statements except for the comments on the first page of each report concerning activities for that year, i.e., the number of shipments made, wage rates, spurs closed for that year, the take over of the CRRR for a time during World War II, the acquisition of new Baldwin Diesel locomotives, etc. Reports included here are: 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1971, and 1973 Reports included all are original copies. This map shows the Champion, Trimountain, Adventurine, Baltic, and Atlantic Stamp Mill locations on Lake Superior. The Copper Range Railroad tracks are shown on the map in red; they connected these stamp mill locations southward to the Mill Mine Junction with connections to (a) Trimountain and Painesdale, (b) Houghton, Hancock, Larium, and Calument, and c) Homestead, Lakewood, Elm River, Winona, Greenland Junction, Greenland, and Range Junctions.
