The United States Bureau of Mines was created in 1910 and was abolished in 1996. The first USBM Reports of Investigation were written in 1919 starting with RI 2003. The approximate year is given occasionally between the RI's which are in stock below and on succeeding pages. I say approximate as the material in these reports was not necessarily completed that year. These reports are important for information they contain as indicated in their titles. The year is given to indicate their historic value.
